2003 E53 X5 3.0d Facelift - Quick sale before its traded in!
Posted: Tue Jun 19, 2018 8:18 pm
I thought I would pop this advert up before she gets traded in on Monday 25th June
I’ve had this X5 for nearly 5 years now and it’s been great.
I’ve already agreed a trade in with Berry BMW Heathrow for an F31 320d M Sport Touring which I will be picking up on Monday.
I thought I would offer on the forum at a bit of a bargain price (In my opinion) and see if anyone wants it instead
It’s got 142k miles and has 4 previous owners.
She cleans up beautifully and has never let me down. I have a folder full of service history and receipts and off the top of my head, I have had the following done during my ownership.
Replacement torque converter last year.
Disks and pads within the last 20k miles.
X2 gearbox services
Diff oil change
Usual servicing inc oil changes as dictated by the service lights.
Sensors on the rear suspension a few years back
Upgraded rear LED lights.
Oil separator upgrade as soon as I got it.
Replacement drive shaft
Front suspension arms replaced 2017
Fitted an aftermarket head unit with DAB, Bluetooth and Aux in port.
New battery fitted 2017
New thermostat
Bonnet alarm switch
Bottom damper crank and belts
There’s probably more but that’s all I can think of right now.
She has screens in the rear head rests which can be controlled by the front head unit or by a separate unit in the boot.
Tyres, 3 correct spec Bridgestone Turanzas fitted. It was 4 up until about 6 months ago but I got a flat in the offside rear and I could not get hold of a Bridgestone so put a Michelin on instead (also correct E53 spec).
Tow bar fitted with electrics. I’ve only ever used it to attach a Thule bike rack.
Faults-
In the last few weeks the front passenger door lock has decided to give up the ghost and won’t unlock or open.
Some total t##t keyed the passenger side a few days ago. See pic
There is also a deep scratch on the drivers door which has dented the panel a bit. You don’t really see it u less you look but again, see the pictures.
The drivers side wing mirror is a bit wobbly. It just needs tightening but I’ve just never bothered with it.
All the wheels need refurbishing. I’d planned to get it done so I have a bag of brand new bolts that will go with the car too.
MOT till October
This is a bit of a speedy advert but please feel free to ask anything specific.
Price is a non negotiable £2500 and would need to be collected and paid for by this Sunday 24th June.
I am based in Bexleyheath, DA6
Cheers!
Forgot to say, I intend to keep the private plate but I’m open to offers.
P.s, I’m struggling to get all the pictures uploaded but I’ll keep trying.
