New LED Halo rings are nice. realoem.com has many accessories and retrofits which can be applied to the car, albeit they are BMW parts and thus are expensive. Good items on there are backlit door sills, wooden electronic shifters to match the trim of the car, and wooden inserts which can be put on the steering wheel, again matching the trim. Tasteful mods indeed!
Ours came with 20" wheels, mudflaps may be a good option especially if they need. The puddle lights are nice, as are the LED lights, although I do prefer the warmer yellow colour of the original lights. LCI rear lights is something people do, paired with the exhaust tips it really does refresh the car. Tinted windows are nice, but we got ours with factory privacy glass. Not as dark, but the actual glass itself is black, which looks good.
Many owners black out their cars on here but we prefer the chrome, the brushed aluminium trim on the windows is really nice as well as the chrome and silver grille. The silver grille is only on the upgraded engines e.g. the 35d/40d and the 48i/50i.
Personally want an electric tailgate retrofit, but new parts are very expensive. Hoping to pull parts from an X5 at a breakers yard to do so. Speaking of that, retrofitting a rear-view mirror with high beam assist gives the car that function, its a straight swap although some rewiring is required and some coding too.
People upgrade their old pre-LCI iDrive (CCC) to the later and faster CIC system, personally have not felt the need to do it as the CCC system is perfectly fine for us. Maybe I like the old 2007 graphics
Hundreds of interior items to get, seat storage solutions, coolboxes, BMW official air fresheners, and more. Dividers are good. I have been on the lookout for genuine Beige Nevada rubber mats, but only having luck for the front seats and middle seats, can't find any for the third row annoyingly.
Aluminium pedals are a very nice touch, lots of very good eBay knockoffs or BMW have the solid metal ones which are quite expensive but very nice indeed.
