Just bought an F25 X3 35D M Sport to replace the E53 X5 so will be remaining on the forum for a while yet!

My apologies in advance for the inevitable barrage of questions that result from new ownership

Good man, just sold my X5 e53...replaced with an X6 ....must say prefer the X5 to work on ...X6 sensors sensors sensors and simple things in horrid places..ie glow plug relay ...easy on e53 in the e-box...X6 under intake manifold took me 4 and 1/2 hrs....X5 10mins....all for BMW saving 75 pence on a bit of cable.... >:(

Yes, it's deceptively quick.  I don't plan on doing much work on it myself as it's under warranty and I plan on extending it.  So far I've just cleaned the interior and engine bay.  I was going to two stage polish it but decided to pay someone to do it in the end as it's been too hot and gets covered in dust etc as I don't have a garage.

Next I plan to remove the arch liners, clean behing and wax treat it with Bilt Hamber clear wax and some other bits then make a warranty claim for corrosion on the wheels and possible replace the aluminium centre console trim as it has a couple of marks but I want to work out how simple a job that is first.
