New Battery

Hi All..

I need to buy a new battery for my E53 2005 4.4 (X5), so many on the market..  :( can any one recommend the best one available, have a bout 150.00 to spend..

Some members have fitted this one including me.
You can get one today in Halfords but not at this price.

If you can push to it get an AGM battery - especially if you car isn't used very often. One of the best things I've bought for mine.

AGM = Absorbed Glass Mat (in case you wondered).

Some E53s got them by default (my 2005 30d did) and most modern cars use them.

Thank you.. got a Yuasa as advised.. currently fitted.. but have had starting problems.. turn the key all light up,, but does not start.. may happen four to six times.. then starts up..  >:( any ideas.. please.. bad earth..

Help please (only 37,000 on the clock...)

Possibly your ignition switch....if its like the e38 7series its not where the key goes in, its a black box connected to the back of the barrel, so you have to drop the lower steering column trim/panel to get to it...easy to change.

Do the lights go out or dim when you try to crank and then return bright when you release the key?
