I have cleared all previous phones from the car. I have an android phone.  I have cleared all existing paired devices. I have even updated the cars software to the latest version. Here is the problem.
After pressing add new device then scan on my phone, my phone finds everything else bt but not the bmw. I have tried a million times.
My wife's iphone something finds the bmw but it will not pair.
Can anyone advise.
Also where abouts in the car would the antenna be so I can try placing the phone right next to it.

does it ask for a code number?

I have discovered that I have updated to the latest software using the usb. But this is still very old. It think it covers the galaxy S2 that's how old. To update the bluetooth further I will need to update the whole firmware this will then allow me to continue with the usb updates until the latest version. Does anyone know how much this costs?
