I'm sure this has been asked before so sorry to ask again.
My obc says that my front pads are due in 2500 miles and the rears in 11000 miles and the car has been booked in for new pads all round.
I had my summer wheels put back on yesterday and a cursory look at the front pads they look about 8mm at least and the rears not much less.
I've done 41000 miles on these pads and discs which seems pretty amazing to me so do I ignore the obc and push on with what I've got or change them.
I imagined that a heavy vehicle like this would eat brake pads??

Re: Brake pads
I'm amazed you're changing the rears if they have 11000 miles left.
Having said that, my obc has been telling me my rears have 1200 miles left in them for about 8 months now!

Re: Brake pads
The system isn’t wonderfully accurate is it! You have pad wear sensors too as a backup.

Re: Brake pads
We'll to be honest I was only going to have the rears done as well because the back plates are loose and wanted to avoid a re-visit for them.
Re: Brake pads
Got the pads checked by my Indy yesterday and they confirmed there was at least 10k miles left in them so I'm well chuffed.
I've just got to remember to give them a visual every now and again.
