Rear Camera Failure

Have to admit, these cars do love to go wrong, think there is more BMW dealership coffee and cake for us in the future right now.
Got a warning for reverse camera failure, flashing light above the parking sensor button. Now, the camera has been flickering in the past, and one time it did stop, but restarting the car would kick it to life. This time it isn't doing that. But, hoping to change the fuse to see if that does anything.
Would it be worth to remove the rear hatch trim and remove then refit the wires, clean the connectors etc? Have read about that working for some people.
