I might consider selling ours but haven't decided yet. I've just put the Mini up for sale and am considering whether to keep the X5 or sell both and get something newer.
It's a 54 plate, done about 53,000 miles and has a BMW comprehensive warranty.

I know you mentioned you didn't want a 2006 but I have a really clean and very well spec'd 2006 for sale:

Road tax is £540 vs £315 which isn't a great deal of difference in the grand scheme of things if you get a good purchase price
