Reversing Camera Retrofit

Has anyone ever retrofitted an oem reversing camera to an LCi E70? There’s not a massive amount of info on it on Google, but a couple of places suggest it is possible if the car has CIC and rear PDC.
Kufatec do a wiring loom for it, but strangely no full kit.
Is it just a case of getting said loom, plus a module and camera off eBay? Or is there more to it?

Have a look at Realoem and see if there is a retrofit kit? If there is then there should be an EBA reference which is the set of instructions you need to do the install.

Good suggestion, thanks. I checked last night but sadly there doesn’t seem to be an official kit.
There is the likes of this on eBay though;

Apparently that kit is an aftermarket camera, and they don’t do supply only.

Our new (to us) 40d didn't have a camera (which we had on our previous 35d), so I contacted the Ebay seller mentioned above (OEM retrofit being way too expensive). Apparently, for an LCI with PDC, the price is around £275 fitted, but it only has static lines. An upgraded version with dynamic lines is available, but is nearly £400 fitted. The guy sounded knowledgeable, but you do have to go to Birmingham for installation.
After much research, I went for the Emtronica kit with dynamic lines (

Purchase was £220, and installation took about an hour - the hardest part is routing the wire to the rear camera. It works perfectly, with a clear, bright image.
I'll post a short how-to when I get the time.

Avin do one for cheap.

I suspect this is an add-on to the Avin head unit, as there's nowhere to plug it in on the OEM system...
