Help please - Can't get in my car

Hi all
I'm wondering if someone can PM me the way to get into my E53. It's on 02 3.0i sport.
The battery is dead and the driver's door handle carrier is broken, just to add to it.
When I first blipped it this morning it set off the alarm. That has now gone quiet and the key is not doing anything at all now.
TIA

I’ve read that you can get to the alternator positive terminal from underneath... If so, you should be able to get an external battery hooked up (-ve connected to a chassis ground) and get enough juice into the system for the fob to unlock it.

Hi
Have you tried entry via the boot as you should be able to unlock it with the key and then climb through

Hi Spandex
I take it the alternator is visible from underside then? I'll have a look tomorrow.
Hi GraemeX5 - mine doesn't have a key hole for the boot - not that I can see obvious. The only keyhole I can see is the driver's door and of course that doesn't work on the handle because the carrier is broken.

That’s what I’ve read, but I have no personal experience. Have a look at this video, although it’s so blurry and dark it’s a bit useless...

You-Tube Broken bonnet release cable for the vehicle model.
In a nut-shell, one of the kidney grills can be removed from front, then a screw driver can ping the Right release latch (on RHD vehicles) & will release both latches... then open the bonnet to access the jump point at the bulkhead.
You can access the jump point under the bonnet once the bonnet / hood is up, & jumper the vehicle from another... then the fob will open the doors.
Hope this helps.

Hi all
Just to close this one off, firstly thank you for all the advise.
In the end a fried who is ex AA came round with his pneumatic pad and with a couple of coat hangers we sprung the OSF door.
All is good and I have stripped the driver's door ready for the new carrier.
Thanks again.
