I should start by saying my 35d E70 was occasionally stalling before I replaced the glow plugs + module. I knew there was an issue with the glow plugs and/or module as it was throwing error codes in Carly BMW so thought I would swap them out to see if it resolved the stalling issue. I have since read that the stalling issue may be due to a faulty injector so that was next on the list.
5 of the 6 glow plugs came out fine but one was just spinning so I left that one in place until I can get someone to remove it in the near future. O:-)
While I had the intake manifold off I also carried out the EGR and swirl flaps delete.
Put everything back together and it will not start! Turns over fine but just wont fire. >:(
I did spray some EGR cleaner down the ports to remove carbon so not sure if this may have caused the issue?
Looking at the fault codes I'm guessing the new glow plug module may be faulty or connector not inserted fully but would this cause the car not to start on a warm day?
Any advice greatly appreciated!!
