Thanks

It’s very easy to do yourself.

Just download the Bimmercode app, and order one of these https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B06 ... UTF8&psc=1

I was worried about doing my car, but it’s a piece of cake to do.

Is the Bimmercode app free to use, or is it subscription? Did you use that wifi OBD dongle yourself?

Thanks!

I hear a lot of people doing this coding business.
What can you get out of it that would help me and is it something that might invalidate my warranty if all goes pear shape?

It costs around £20 for the app. Plug the dongle in, select it from your WiFi menu on the phone and connect to that network. Then open the app, and it’s all in there

Thanks! Ordered it from amazon.de. Hope to be able to switch off the headlight washers and the stop/start.

I can understand switching off the stop-start (I’ve done the same) but why switch off headlight washers

A few reasons: I find the headlight washers pretty useless, they ruin a freshly detailed car and I have a current problem with a leaking headlight washer or piping, which all means I would rather that they do not come on. I know you can simply switch off the light if you want to avoid the headlight washers coming on with the windscreen washers, but prefer a more permanent solution.

Thanks for the confirmation that stop/start can be switched off.

Mandatory that they are fitted, maybe. But I have LED and based in Belgium, where it is not part of the MOT test

Agreed.

Some great little codes in there. Still haven’t worked out the glitchy start screen, animation / static etc all has a kind of its own, on start up will either just not play anything or theres a second or 2 of intro . Anyone with advice on this please do reply!?

Start up in sport is great - along with screen memory so you always get the same screen back. Nice bit of kit !

What haven't we changed !!!

Well Anthony seems to have turned his x5 into an M4 !!

you can code the interior sound - so we changed that to an x5m !!! sounds so much better

so far I have done

X5m - interior engine
halo brightness to 40%
M screen on start up
handle lights in reverse
sport on start up
