				Ours has come loose and looking at most cost effective way to fix
Still works when in situ but is it going to be a new switch requirement ?

				Very simple to replace. You’re probably looking at about £50 for the part and 20 mins work:

				Mine also came from eBay, with a replacement gear selector included as a bonus, all for £80.

				Just had a browse
Part number 61319148508 required
Some eBay bmw oem dealers are £50 posted in a few days so may go down this option
Third party item is cheaper but add on postage it’s only £20 different which isn’t oem and longer lead time

				I did mine.  Dead easy to replace, just be careful when pulling the chrome trim from around the iDrive/ gear lever/ parking brake unit.  I got some proper trim removal tools from eBay (about £3) to do it, and they needed some force to release the clips near the arm rest.
