Can you adjust how high the boot opens? I am worried that it might clip the roller shutter door if I have not moved the car enough forward in the garage and I would hate to press the button for the boot to hit that.

On the E70, I just manually slow open the boot and if it does not clear it, I just hold it there.

Yes, adjustable in iDrive settings.
