Headlight washer

Just noticed that the drivers side headlight washer is not quite right.
It still works but when squirted a tube pops out and water just pours on the floor.
Is this a simple diy fix? What parts do I need?
Cheers

Are these standard on all? I have just picked up an msport last week and not sure if mine are just blanks?

Wash the windows 3 /5 times with the headlights on and see if you can see the washers spray the headlights.
Standard on Xenon fitted cars, should imagine they are standard on Msports too, but with BMW everything could be an option

You have the nozzles and the washer cover missing.
The nozzle pushes in to the tube part you can see and the cover clips on to the nozzle.

As already stated, the cover looks like its popped of. And I'd guess that the spray head went with it. My Local dealer wanted £91 for a replacement - and that excludes the cover plate ( these are normally primer only when supplied) I ended up buying the replacement units from China at £30 a pair.

I didn't need the covers

I just changed my drivers side one today. Bit of a bugger of a job but got there in the end. Bottom half of bumper off, wheel arch off and headlight pushed back. Glad it’s done now.

I have the exact same issue. I’ve purchased the covers and new washer pumps from eBay. Just wondering if I can get away with removing the nozzles for the new units and clipping them in to the void on the existing ones to save me removing the bumper etc?

If there is nothing else damaged on the parts that are still on the car all you need to do is find a way to extend the washer and then clip the nozzle and cover back on.

I did mine by getting a friend to pull the wiper lever and when the stalk popped up grabbed it with some mole grips to keep it open. Then pushed in the replacement nozzle and cover, pull the washer lever again an as the stalk moves up a little removed the mole grips. If you try this make sure you put a cloth between the mole grips and the bumper to prevent scratching the bumper. Sounds a bit heath robinson I know but they've been fine since for a couple of years now.
