Power steering

Evening everyone,

My steering seems to be whining when the car is cold and going round a right hand bend, I have read online that the power steering fluid is in the tank labelled atf ? If so this is quite low is this the correct tank ?
Also where can I buy fluid and what type do I need ? It’s a 3.0i sport 2005

I’ll start by saying I haven’t got the same engine so I don’t know if it’s the same but I had a leaky power steering system, apparently it’s quite common for the suction and return pipes to weep that are just under the reservoir. Mine were, so I replaced the reservoir (because there’s a filter in there and it was a cheap part - unusual I know), the suction and return lines were cheap as well, got a litre of fluid off BMW, I also replaced the pump to rack pipe assembly that was looking a bit worse for wear but that was £172!
Thankfully, it leaks no more
