Hello all, I have decided to part exchange the x3 after 19 months.
I have opted for an x5 3.0 m sport 40d 2011 to replace my 2011 x3 SE.
Looking forward to your reviews

Panicking its going to start costing me money owning a prestige car too. I owned a 318I and an x3 in the past 5 years with only the need for fuel

Comfort seats are fantastic - you’ll spen ages playing around with those.....
The 8-sp box is probably one of the best on the market and you will very quickly discover why hot hatches need to be worried! The engine just pulls and pulls.
I always find myself grinning switching from my daily commuter - a Škoda Superb 3 190bhp AWD - to my X6.

Good luck with the new car sounds like a nice spec!
Sad to say these are not cheap cars to run nor maintain though hopefully yours isn’t too painful

Hi all, due to pick up the new x5 e70 on saturday now due to the bad weather.
Dealer has offered me a 3 year package:
Rims
Tyres
£699 covering refurbs and punctures etc.... with a 20" tyre costing upwards of £200 would it be worth taking?
Annual mileage is <4000 miles.
Regards,
Jonathan

That sounds expensive to me - and look very carefully at the small print for get out clauses.

^ I disagree, especially if the cover is anything like jaguar, it’s well worth it. We paid about £800 for 3 years covering wheels and tyres. Max 6 claims per year on wheels and I think 2 per year tyres.
In 2 years we’ve called them out 5 times to refurb which they done no questions asked, and always done all 4 wheels. Will be using the tyre one soon as well as got a slight nick in it.
Apart from that, the peace of mind of not worrying about kerbing is well worth it.

Sounds good! I’ve just paid £1026 for a set of Sportmaxx GT's on the 20” staggered setup so damage those and you’ll see that’s good value!
