Hi,
Has anyone fitted their own towbar to the e70? I have fitted a few before to other cars, just wondering if it's straight forward?
cheers

Have a look at the PF Jones website as it usually has the manufacturers fitting instructions to download. The bumper needs cutting and have a good look at the dedicated electrics kit instructions too. OEM is Westphalia again.

Relatively easy, with the bumper removal the hardest part!
I fitted a westfalia detachable from PF Jones c/w dedicated wiring allbeit my requirements are only for a seven pin socket for a cycle carrier
You tube provides bumper removal videos, the red reflectors on the bumper are difficult to remove without breaking, “I broke both” there a hidden screw behind them!
Otherwise relatively straight forward though bumper removal differs whether M sport or SE
The wiring is simple, all within the rear, i solder jointed mine as I don’t like the scotch lock connectors that the kit comes with!
The reverse camera still functions, however parking sensors are disabled
The entry point for the wiring is present, remove a bung and take time to ensure the new one is correctly seated, I applied a layer of sealant once installed to ensure the boot floor remains dry!
The bumper cut, initially you’ll be staggered at the amount that required to remove, though essential for swinging the electrics down, all out of sight once fitted, however once removed, the outline cut is marked on the bumper, I used a jigsaw and dremel to make the cut! Then filed the edges
For the towbar fitting, youll need a deep 18mm socket and torque wrench
Good luck!
