ConnectDrive Screen Keeps Switching on & off

Hi,
As title this has started today on my 2014 40d and despite switching car on & off, letting it sit for over an hour its still going on & off. I've also lost all stores radio channels. Strange thing is I only updated the Nav a few days ago using BMW paid update & USB download?
Car was bought by me about a month ago via non BMW garage sale and I've got a years warranty however NAV & Media are excluded from cover....typical
Any ideas?

Get a fault code read done to see if it’s in the main CIC (iDrive) computer unit in the dash playing up and what the error coming back is.  Has the Nav finished updating itself?  If it’s still incorporating data it might use more resources in the system.  Could be a hard drive issue or the computer unit.
