Hi,

My car is a 2006 (55 plate) X3, does it have a main thermostat and ERG thermostat, or just the main thermostat?

Look on real OEM using your Vin number and go to the emissions section and see if it's got an EGR cooler./ thermostat.
Being a 2006 your are on the cusp of Euro 5.
Is it a facelifted X3 ?

Thanks for the reply. My car is pre facelift, I've looked on RealOEM, but I can't find the emissions section.
Is it a sub section of something else? My engine type is M47N2 if that gives any more clues.

I forgot to add, the reason I'm asking the question is I'm only getting temperatures of 64 Deg even on a 20 mile run. I used the "secret" dash settings to get the actual temperature.

Both thermostats have been changed and the coolant temperatures are all good now.
