Style 87 20" fits into spare wheel well?

Hi all,
Just a quick 1. I have the style 87s on my 3.0d and I carry a can of the BMW puncture repair rubbish as I don't like the space saver. I'm being really lazy and can't be bothered to remove a wheel to see - does a style 87 fit into the spare wheel well? I'm thinking possibly only a front with the rears being so much wider?
Cheers
Dave J

Full size spares do not fit the wheel well.........def not 20” . 17” or 18” only. They are not original alloys either, more a spacesaver type spare.

Mine was fitted with a 17” x7.5J style 57 spare wheel from the factory, and that was limited (mandatory) to 50mph. The main road wheel set were 19” staggered. The outer dia was the same as all the other sizes when fitted with factory tyres. Limit due to being a different size & width.
I had the raised, pull-out floor so maybe an 18” might have fitted, but only about an inch (possibly less) below the floor and 18” rims are 8.5J I think.

Yeah I had the 19 Tiger Claws from new but changed across to the 20s. I keep a can of that god awful puncture repair in the car but as I understand the 18" spare is better suited to going on with a punctured 20?

Probably. Nearer the profile and the rim is an 8.5J too so width better.
