Mines due in a short while and I wanted to check what the general consensus was about the brake test section of the test.
Are people happy with it going on the rollers or is this a definite no?

Mine is taken out for a road test with a brake test "device" in the car...... NON BMW garage...
Doesnt go on the rollers...
No idea how the "device" works...
Maybee they just jam the brakes on and if the car stops ,, it passes....

Be selective on where you put it for test
Ideally they should use the Tapley meter and not the rollers
Brake test is performed during road test, jump on brakes read the meter and check there’s no pulling to either side!

Unless it’s a twin axle roller system they should use an Approved decelerometer. Or you can ask if the have a ‘plate tester’. As said above, mine is also done by BMW as I have an Extended Warranty - they break, they fix!

Bikes are so much easier, most just honk the horn and it's a pass, if you get a real jobs worth he may try an indicator but brake test! you got here, you're still alive your brakes must be okay then! ::)
