Torque Converter
Torque Converter
I have a code that pops up on my reader at regular intervals which tells me that the torque converter lock up clutch has excessive slip. The car drives beyond perfect, change up/down no noticeable slip anywhere. Oil was changed 30k ago the old stuff would have suggested the previous owner had done oil changes. If I didn't have a reader you definitely wouldn't know there was a fault, so, should I try and investigate or throw the reader away ) All suggestions welcome.

Re: Torque Converter
To do anything is a box out job, so my approach would be the old "if it's not broken"
If the code is not permanently there it could be a poor ecu connection somewhere that throws it sometimes?
I am sure mine throws the odd code just to test my heart rate and the grip on my wallet!!
