One of the centre console drink holders in my X5 needs a bit of a refurb. I would appreciate any tips on removing them from the centre console. I don't want to try removing it without some idea of how to do it without breaking anything. Any advice gratefully received.

As far as I recall you need to remove the entire centre console (the spring loaded parts of my drinks holder disappeared inside the centre console and I decided not t bother removing it to get to them.
There is thread on the How to section - have a search there. I believe it is time consuming rather than complex

I'll try again. (I Posted a reply yesterday but there's no sign of it). In that case I'll do the same as you and leave it until the console has to come out for something else. Thanks.

the whole center console needs to come out for this little job, and this console job is a real balls-ache, and could potentially take a WHOLE weekend to do..

Suggestion, maybe I can 3D print a drinks holder ring in a rectangular block, that nests into the rectangular space securely to hold your Starbucks drinks or cans in place ?
