Recommended detachable towbar.

I know that there have been post on this before but I need to fit a towbar to my 2017 F15 30d M Sport and wondered if there was a "preferred" make. I had a Brink on my last car (Merc GLE) but I was not confident attaching the swan neck as it went in at an angle. I notice the Westfalia, that gets mentioned a few times elsewhere on the forum fits in vertically and seems much easier to fit. Any thoughts welcomed.

OEM will be a Westphalia. PF Jones are a good supplier but you may not be able to get an exact match - aren’t the factory ones electric?

I’m not sure of the make, but I’ve got one on mine. Pretty impressive bit of kit.

RP Jones it is then. Do you know if the tow hitch zoom feature switches on automatically when a tow bar electrics are installed or is it a visit back to the dealer?

I've no idea there was a 'zoom hitch feature'!
I've got a Westfalia and it does the job just fine. About £650 fitted from memory, purchased from Jones and fitted by a recommended authorised fitter. The entire job takes about 1/2 a day and my fitter took extreme care with the bumper etc. to ensure there was no damage or scratches.
When I have mine attached the rear and have electrics connected to my bike rack for example the parking sensors are switched off automatically although you still have a view through the camera.
Takes about 2 minutes to fit or take off and I leave the bar hidden in the boot when boot in use.

Don’t think I have that option.
That said, I’ll not lose any sleep over not having it!
