That was lucky!

I noticed that some of the blue dye from my new jeans had stained the white leather in the car earlier. :'(
Luckily I had some Auto Glym leather cleaner, so have managed to get rid of the marks (and cleaned all of the seats at the same time!).
What do you guys recommend, to make sure this doesn’t happen again? I’ve already put all my new jeans through the wash this afternoon, before anyone says that!

I use this:

Apparently there are better products however I coated my silverstone seats from new and now its a simple wipe off when there's some dye transfer.

Don’t buy light coloured leather.
Some years ago regardless of what we did my wife’s champagne leather was tinted blue pretty quickly

Doesn’t help
You need some coating on the seat, I only wear Levi’s, possibly better quality than Dodd of Asda/Walmart’s jeans (possibly not)
Ultimately a dye blocker, this won’t stop it but will make it clean and wipe
I used to swear by Gliptone products, though they appear aggressive on certain leather types (Merino)
Best clean with clean microfibre, warm water soaked & wrung out with gently wipe, sometimes I’ll add fabric softener!
Assess before chemically cleaning
Whilst my champagne Merino looks new, it’s constant maintenance I use LTT protector every month after a good clean and nourish, similar product will be required
Oh
I have a couple of really dark jeans, I sit on a towel to stop the transfer!

Thanks guys. I really like the look of the leather, and it doesn’t take long to clean it with the AG cleaner. So, some sort of sealer/ protector would be best. Any other recommendations, other than the one mentioned above?

I went with DoDo Juice leather cleaner & their sealant. Will apply one day this week/ weekend, and see how it goes.

Dr Leather dye blocker works great on light colour interiors
