Coding help needed

So I've got the Bimmian LED indicators installed, and working as they should, but they flash on startup, then a quick flash every minute while the car is moving.

Some Googling revealed that it's possible to disable the self diagnostics on the front indicators, which would stop this from happening. My BMW dealer is going to have a look on Friday for me, but failing that, does anyone know of anyone in Surrey that can plug my car in, and disable this?

Hi Rich,

The cold and warm lamp check needs to be disabled via coding. Pretty simple with BimmerCode but I’m pretty sure the dealer won’t be able to help (unless the LED upgrade is an official retrofit).

See how you get on and if you still need coding I can help (I’m in Farnborough).

I’m away this week, back for the weekend then away again so hopefully you’re not in a big rush!

Cheers Mark. I’m in Camberley, and picking the car up on Saturday, so if they can’t do it, could we meet up at the weekend?

I'm back home now...

Give it a go Saturday and drop me a text if you have problems - I shouldn't be home from the Autosport show too late and you're just around the corner.

Just seen the other thread with pics of the new car - lovely!!

Just been out and coded the indicator checks off. No more random flashing!

Does anyone know how to code the mirrors to fold with a quick press of the lock button on the remote, rather than holding it down, as the sunshade closes when you hold the button down?

Agreed, it would be better however if the sunshade didn’t close a bit every bloody time I hold the remote or door handle  >:D

Yup, I did it yesterday as it annoyed me. I did it with BimmerCode and OBD2 WiFi adapter. All I had to do was to set the Comfort Mirror Close Delay to zero.

I also coded the Stop/Start to be off by default. Very happy.

What I would love to be able to do is to set Auto Hold to On by default but not sure that one is possible.

Is that in standard, or expert mode in Bimmercode?

I can see comfort closing delay (set to 1.5 seconds), and fold mirrors when locking vehicle with comfort access, set to active, but I didn’t think I had comfort access on the car???

Is that something that can be done with Carly coding?

I don’t have comfort access either, but amending the delay to zero has worked for me.  Done in standard, I’m staying away from expert!

I’ve not actually looked at Carly. I’ll need to take a look and see what options it has.

Is Bimmercoding as simple as it looks?

Can anything go wrong?
