Hello all!
Have recently brought the other half a 2006 3.0d m sport x3, myself i am a bmw veteran having had 7 3 series ending in an e46 m3. Currently have a 996 c4s and alfa 159 sw.

Back to the x3..... it has an audison prima in the boot - great stuff, and has a 30 pin ipod lead in the glove compartment, that i cannot get working!! i can select aux by pressing mode, so the lead is connected. I have tried an official apple 30 pin to lightening adaptor and it still wont recognise an iphone!? it charges but no sound?

Any help is welcomed!

Congrats on your X3.

It may be that the lead only supports iPods not the iPhone and its worth trying one of those to see if works as the previous owner of my old e53 X5 put in denison lead but that only support the iPod.
