I popped into my local BMW dealer yesterday to collect a part, but was drawn to the new X3 in the showroom. Looks a fantastic size and that interior is stunning. Whilst the old X3 interior was very much on a par with the 3 series range (not a good thing), this looks a step up even from my old F11. Size wise it looks bang on too, cabin size much like my old E53, you just don't sit quite as high.

Just need to depreciation to do it's thing, that 30d was £53k with options, yikes! 40i could be an interesting option.

So just wondering if anyone has driven one yet and what your thoughts are.. Still hard to overlook the F15 as a replacement for my E70.  But I guess that's the old vs new discussions...

Ordered one November 2017... on day of release expecting delivery any day now Feb 2018...loved it!

Waited 18 months for G01 could have purchased last year....delighted I waited, far superior in my view. XDrive XLine 20D... Comfort Package, Visibility Package, Prof Nav, Sophisto Grey with Canberra Leather and Fine Wood Trim. 

Current vehicle Lexus IS 220D from new...not one problem in 11 years from new other than replacement of brake shoes and keeping well maintained to include preventative regular cleaning of EGR.

Why BMW?....Never had one and my family find them great. Never had an SUV 4x4...Never had Automatic.
So a bit of bucket list in play here but when we looked around the choice was easy.  Really looking forward to participating on this forum hopefully a G01 forum will soon appear.

Picked my G01 up on St Valentines Day....already done almost 500 miles just driving around and getting used to it.  Fantatstic....love it.
