Got a 2003 and want to look at getting a good scanner around 100-150 max what’s the best one?

Laptop and the bmw software, wont regret it and will save you cash over spending 150 on a handheld that doesnt do much in comparison.
2005 (55 plate) x5 3.0d sport, auto trans, nav tv thingy, but no dsp.

Under a turbo swap presently (fingers crossed it fixes her!)

There lots depending on what your after. I'll get the labels wrong, but dis, inpa, the coding one, or lesser packages like bmw scanner 1.4 (what I use, as I've not got dis and inpa working). There tons of stuff posted on this forum and everywhere lol.

yes I know that, I just didn't know what you meant by "BMW software" - I wasn't aware that there was "BMW software" as such
