Just about to buy a tow bar and was reading through the excellent fitting instructions on here. Shame the pics have gone. Nearly £500 now with 13 pin wiring loom. Was thinking, how the hell did he get it all for £369 until I looked at the date. 2011
Anyone know anywhere cheaper. Must be able to detach tow bar and refit plastic cover when not in use.

I recently fitted a Westfalia detachable tow bar. If you're talking about the thread with all the photos showing the installation process, I spent some time getting the photos uploaded again and posted a reply in the thread.

They had run out of 7 pin dedicated electrics kits when I went for mine, they gave me a 13 pin kit and an adapter for the same price

Well, 4 days after telling me I'd have it in 2 weeks it arrived today, surprised at the weight, really heavy. Probably me getting old and weak. Can't see me fitting it for at least a couple of weeks, just to busy.

I was surprised at the weight when i got mine.
Got even heavier when holding it up to the back of the car while my m8 took his time to put the bolt's in lol.

It needs to be heavy if it’s pulling 2.5T or more  :)

I've tried to get the dedicate kit from PFJones (7 and 13 pin) but they're out of stock and don't know when or if they will get any more so I'm making my own loom. Currently struggling with identifying which pin in the connector in the boot relates to what light on the trailer. I've fit the control module by the battery so that's in and done and tried different variations (pins only at the moment for test fit not in the connector) but things like the brake lights are flashing instead of the indicators etc.

If anyone has a diagram, can shed any light on which relates to which, or how I can go about identifying the wires with a multimeter etc I'd be really grateful. Images attached!
