Hi all

Post by ttr » Tue Oct 17, 2017 8:31 pm

All,

Just joined the BMW X5 E53 club, bought a 2006 Sport 3.0 diesel in grey, black Dakota leather, one owners FDSH and 99k .

Previously had a Volvo XC70 D5 which I ran to 153000 miles, prior had a 2002 Shogun so looking forwards to the X5 for a change.

I always try and do most of my own spanner work, within reason, electronics confuse me no end!

Have always joined the forums and found them a great place with good people, and always managed to contribute with How Toos or inputs.

Having trawled the club prior to purchase I got lots of advice on what to look for - so thanks to all.

Will try and upload photos of the car.

Planning a set of new rubber, full brakes pads and discs replace, retrim of the steering wheel (usual rub on plastic trim) and a slight touch up on the drivers leather seat, try and fix Bluetooth, .......as starters for ten.

Really looking forward to working on this, thanks in advance for any inputs for the usual stupid newbies questions.

Cheers from Yorkshire .

Really like the car, completely different to the shogun.

Hope your getting on with yours
