Carbon Black - Black Grills or Colour Coded??

I know I want to lose the chrome rimmed kidney grills as the X5 has shadowline trims and roof rails so very little chrome going on. What I can't decide is whether to go colour coded or gloss black?? I have searched the net but because of Photobucket causing chaos with pictures I can't really find any pics on the subject??
Anyone owned any BMW in Carbon Black and have thoughts on which way to go??

Done some more research and leaning towards colour coded outer with matt black slats - that being the case can the outers be separated from the slats for ease of colour coding or will they need to be masked off?

Sorry it was bought like that. If I remember I will take a look tomorrow and see if the slats are seperate. I have had them off the car but cant remember seeing if they could be split.

The grill is definitely made up of 2 parts, a gloss outer and a matt inner which is part of the slats.
Not sure exactly how they split but they are 2 parts.

Lol!!!

) Ok no worries about where you got them - thanks for checking, if I can split them easily I might buy a secondhand pair off eBay, split them and get them painted that way I can keep originals as they are I think.
Watch this space........
