Just got my first X5 but have Radio/Sat Nav display problems

Hi All,

After selling my 330D Msport Touring and Z3, I've just bought a 2003 X5 3.0D with 100k miles on the clock.

A few issues with door locks and windows which can be fixed, the worst problem I've got is that the Radio/Sat Nav/Disc/Bluetooth screen has decided not to work. It was working when I picked the car up.

I can't turn on the Radio, there's no orange light. The display shows nothing at all.

I've had the BM54 checked and thats ok, taken the display unit out and reconnect all cables including ribbons, removed the fuses for a few hours, but still I can't get anything to work.

Any ideas?, I've been through just about every forum post about this and can't find any ideas apart the those that I've done.

Hi,

If your not getting the orange light on I would say its the head unit itself.
