stop/start battery on non stop/start car?

hi all,
ive not posted for ages as I've sold my e53 now, but im always lurking in the background and seeing what you guys are up to !!  :P
anyway, as i know you are all a knowledgeable lot, i thought i would pose a question...

my sons e46 2.0d is showing signs of a dying battery ( sluggish starting and flat if not used for a couple of weeks).
i have a nearly new, similar size and capacity efb battery from a stop/start car available.
my question is, will this type of battery be suitable for a non stop/start car?

also, in my garage, i have a good bosch s5 from my old e53. - much bigger capacity and size (although it will physically fit)  would this cause issues?

I put a battery that is fitted to stop/start cars on my e46 2.0d a couple of years back and no problems at all.
If anything it will hold charge longer if the car is not used but that could be my imagination lol.

If memory serves the stop/start batteries tend to have a larger capacity than standard one's so you should be good to go.

Stop/Start really only means it is supposed to deal with deeper discharges, but could well just be sales pitch.

Either will be fine. The bigger the better  :))
