Yet to drive an E89. Initial reports were of s slightly softer yet more refined car......I like the look of them.

Will be curious to learn how you get on with it......Good colour and engine choice btw

Hi new ones aren't this one is a few years old .
Roof off all the time would get you in ok !
I have left it in sports setting so ride is very good , car is on none runflats 18" so best all round , 19" runflats kill the ride too hard so steered away from them although they look great . The comfort setting is better than the X5 for absorbing the bumps , it completely different still can't believe that it is mine .
3 BMW s on the drive now all totally different but brilliant in their own way , just the X5 to upgrade now next year hopefully!

Our other car is a 2010 E89 23i
Had it for over 4 years and its an excellent car.
Should possibly have waited longer and got a 3.0L instead of the 2.5L but its fast enough and incredibly smooth with the 6 cylinder engine.
Im sure I seen these pics on the Z4 forum under a different user name.

Hi yes that's me will post some open top pictures next !
Does the wind deflector work as mine is without one ? Possibly looking for 19" wheels as well although they seem to be prone to cracking ?

If it’s anything like the E46 convertible then yes it does work and very well.  Expensive but better than a chilly neck  :)

Im sure the wind deflector does work but to be completely honest it was fiited on the first day and hasnt been taken off since ::)
As for the wheels it just seems to be certain styles of 19" wheel that is prone to cracking especially with runflat tyres. Ours has 18s and will be sticking with them.

Hi

Congrats on your Z4 and I too like them with the 3.0 engine and your looks a very tidy example, good choice.

However, I also do like the number plate mod but it probably get in the way of speed bumps :))

I like the relatively normal seats there, comfy and easy to get in and out of...

A few years ago I bought a 330i touring and loved the 3.0 straight six so much i swapped my supercharged MX5 for a 3.0 Z4 the following month. Many years later the Z4 has been absolutely faultless but it only ever comes out of the garage when it can be driven with the roof down and is lucky to do a 1000 miles a year.

Hope you enjoy yours as much as i enjoy mine and happy overtaking  :shades:
