I have got hold of a set of these alloys. here's a link if you need to see them. http://www.alloywheelsdirect.net/bmw_al ... wheel_1045

The alloys are not kerbed however underneath the laquer on the rim it is pretty badly discolored/reaction going on so was considering a refurb. Does anyone know if these are two piece? If so, what is the best way to removing the bolts? been soaking in wd and they wont budge.....

Thanks.

I have Borbet winter wheels on my wife's 1 series.

They are hard to get off - assuming you have taken bolts off and they are stuck on solid?

If so, try rotating the wheel when in jack - if that doesn't work, rubber mallet may be required. It may take some hammering! And then add some copper grease to the hub when you put it back on.

Good luck!

Split rim bolts are not generally highly torqued.  They look like split rim but may be just drop forged and not split.  The bolts will have been threadlocked though.

Still trying to get the actual bolts off. Worried about shearing them.....
