Evening all, I'm looking at adding paddle shifters to my E70. Could I just buy a wheel with them on and plug and play or would this not work.

You will need the control electronics in the system as well.  Not just plug and play.  It came as standard on the X6 but was a cost option on most of the E70 range.

See if BMW do a retrofit kit and then see what parts and coding is needed.
