Just seen a 4.6is, looked like it had 4.8 wheels on but they are aftermarket from Kwik Fit and are 275/40/20 all round, is this ok? I thought normally they had 315 and a lower profile on the back, hear a lot about transmission wind up etc on hereĀ  :o

Hi aftermarket wheels are usually none staggered so can't see it being a problem, BMW winter wheels are none staggered and all the same size tyres. Problems usually occur when the tyres are 2mm difference front to rear or side to side. Other problems happen running cheap tyres as on here some one measured the same tyres but different makes and there was a 35mm difference in height.

Ah ok, might be alright then by the sound of it, it's got ancient tyres on so needs new ones but they are Michelin dramatics (diamaris although I think auto spell makes them sound more interestingĀ  :) ) so that's something, pity they're as old as the hills

Don't think I'll be able to keep the wheels on for long, I'll have to pick up a proper set, looking at it tomorrow so we'll see what happens
