Hi. My 2001 x5 3.0 diesel seems to have bmw tow bar & wiring fitted to it. but there is no 12v at the 13pin tow bar plug to power the fridge in the caravan.
I am going to wire up & relay for my fridge myself. what I need help with is where can I pick up a 12 v ignition feed for the relay as I can't find one in the boot. Would it be o k to take one off the ignition harness at the steering coloum? I would prefer to find one in the boot if possible but can't find one there.

Well Ray, if you read that back I can't tell if it's a G&T your after or a negative ground feed

Ray, I don't know for sure, but is there not one with the electric gubbins in boot, ie nav, CD change, Bluetooth, parking sensors, air suspension etc, as sure all of that stuff isnt perminently live?
