In my search for getting bluetooth streaming for my car that has 6FL USB/AUX in the armrest, I bought one of these.

It arrived Friday, and I plugged it in, paired it and got music, but no track detail. So, despite their claims, it doesn't always pass through the A2DP info.
Being a little racked off with the result, I did a bit more research and found that the go to solution is a ViseeO tune2air WMA3000B
I got it off Amazon for £66 (cheaper than the BMW Y-Cable) on Prime and it arrived yesterday.
Plugged it in this morning, paired it according to the instruction, and voila, External Devices now shows my iPhone and all the music on it. I tried my Audible app and all is good.
My phone stays connected to the car too while sat in the cradle, so when a call comes in it just pauses the music and instantly switches to the car BT for phone calls. Perfect.
If you have the 6FL USB/AUX but no BT streaming in your car, this is the perfect solution to not having to use the Y-Cable and have something plugged in.

I have a 2009 X5 3.5D M Sport. Would I get the same results as you?

If you have the usb/3.5mm jack in the armrest, I don’t see why not.

Sounds a good buy, Do you get music album art work as well as the music info?

I've used Viseeo units in a couple of Mercedes, worked first time in both, no quirks or difficulties. Pity my E70 only has aux in, no USB.

I only have Aux in the armrest too, no USB. Does that mean this won't work?

I've just bought one of these and its awsome, the sound quality is excellent especially through the individual audio.
