BWM Used Warranty is it covered

The generic warranty that my car came with is about to expire and it is not particularity that good either in what is covered.

I am seriously thinking of taking the plunge on a BMW used warranty just for a year until i see how the car behaves. One of the main reasons is that i am having an intermittent issue with one of the shutters on my Bi-Xenon's and if the price for getting these fixed is anything like my old E90 then the cost of the warranty would be justified on fixing this alone.

Before i take the plunge can anyone tell me if the lights are covered under the BWM Used warranty?

They are on the comprehensive warranty.

I had one of.mine replaced recently where the shutter wasn't opening. I have adaptive bi xenon and the unit cost more than the warranty (over 1500 euro)... Plus i believe it's about 4-5 hours labour.

They won't cover preexisting faults but if it's intermittent BMW will have to capture a video of it not working..

On the plus side if it hasn't failed then it's not a preexisting fault ;-)
