Are there any Meet-Ups planned for 2017..

Ryan... The Herd sorted a pleasant meet last year, but I was working in Germany at the time....Darn..

any one got any ideas or know if a 2017 meet ??

I would be very interested in a get together 

I was going to encourage a meet-up in the West Midlands - as Centrally as possible - say Services on M40 / M42 / M5 ... or across country nr Derby or Northampton or some place like that...  that way, I'd hope to satisfy the travelling demands of most.... (hopefully)
Maybe do a Weekend -  Saturday afternoon in one locations & the Sunday in another ?

It would be great to meet some of you guys n girls, put faces to the names, share some hard earned knowledge & hopefully save ourselves a lot of pennies in the process too..

Northampton is in striking distance for me (about 40 miles WNW).  Need to be a Sat or Sun, not that we have had weekday events that I remember.

Bristol was popular a few years back, but too far the Eastern 'posse' such as myself 

It would be nice - I remember trying to get to one around Bristol a few years ago, but ended up having to divert for some work or family thing.  Services on the motorway are a good idea, but remember there is a two hour parking limit at all of them or they hit you with a huge charge - unless you pay their extended parking fee. They all use one of thos parking pirate /cowboy companies.

Re Parking... Yes agreed... Services could be a parking issue..
Maybe a Harvester close to a motorway, as long as we ate, we could park there for hours...

But seriously there was one at RAF cosford a while back that was well attended or we could try and link it up with the BMW car club annual rally which is at Gaydon in August

There's an ace 50's Diner at Swadlingcote on the M42
Loads of unmetered parking and excellent burgers.

Don't you mean on the A38 between. Burton and Derby? There is a 50s diner on the South Bound side.    I travel the M42 every day of my life and have never seen a 50s diner anywhere on it, plus it doesn't go through Swad........

That's too far for me... What about somewhere around Coventry. That's pretty central. I'm near Cambridge so its still a 2hr stint.

I live in East Anglia Herts/Beds/Bucks so reasonably central and could make most locations.

What is at Raj's... does he have a garage or a restaurant or some thing.

The ace 50's Diner at Swadlingcote on the M42 sounds like a good area & central for most... especially if some people have to travel a bit.... so it would be good to find a location that we could take a long afternoon at.
I will contact the diner & see if they have any objections to doing some extra trade.. :blink:

I've read that Raj is a font of knowledge for these machines, & worth listening to, so maybe get some input from him also ?
