Hey guys one of the Angel eyes bulb is gone so I was looking for white led replacements on eBay and found 3 watts and 10 watts versions, which one should I go for? Would 10 watts cause any issues? Heat or too much power consumption?
Thanks

If you can wait until I go out, I'll snap a pic of my 30w bulbs.
You will be disappointed in the effect as the light barely propagates round the outer corona.
Lux is the brand to go for, but at £220 a set I thought I'd try something a little less dazzling.

I had a sidelight out so i bought some from ebay. they were 3w at £18 a pair, when i bought the seller sent me email in 5 mins saying need to upgrade to 7w for white effect as they would be much brighter.
like a chump i did upgrade for another £10. lord knows what the 3w would have been like,
fitted , what an utter let down. when i complained the effect was nothing like the picture on the listing he started on about the older type rings, would not be white , i would need to spend over £100 for that, i sent them back and stick to dim yellow instead. here is a link to his ad. i advise not to buy as very unhelpful when questioned. can hardly see them in daylight at all, ok at night but then you dont drive with just sidelights at night. image added but gone sideways for some reason.

Here's my pics.
First one in bright sunlight with the sun behind me.
Second one is the design of the bulb which shows how this company get 360 degrees of light out of an LED setup.
Just taken the last one, and although the pic shows a glare, the inner corona is very well defined.

Are they switched on in your daylight shot? If so they're pretty much invisible.

Yeah, but the sun was blazing over my shoulder and on the camera they were doing the LED flicker so I may have caught them de-energised.
During daylight without sun on them they are visible, but not LCI visible, so not really what I was looking for.
I didn't want to go down the Lux route as they're up to 80 watts per side now and I think they might glare at night.
I have found some 30 watt per side amber LEDs and may try these as they will give a good contrast against the light housing.

I had the 10 watt Cree LED's in my face-lift... cost about £18... definitely better than the dim OEM filament bulbs, but I don't think they look good until you spend £60+ & get the "single" forward facing LED chip.
The forward facing MULTI-LED units are not so good, because they are a count up of lower wattages to give the illusion sales pitch of a higher wattage..
My facelift now has SINGLE £60 Watt forward facing LED chips that made all the difference.
I did toy with spending more to get an Amber LED unit, but they were even sillier ££ numbers.
I think the answer simply is.... the more you pay, the higher the wattage... ideally 30 Watts+ will do the trick

I can find plenty of bulbs with 4x 10w CREE leds in, but none higher.
This is mine without bright sunlight. I took a burst shot and they do phase on/off for the camera, but unfortunately not at the same time
)
This is the brightest phase to show what they look like to the naked eye.

I had one out at weekend , thought about the cree lights but just decided to keep it original,....the bulb from a motor factors was £4 ...... and that was for the original halogen ...easy enough to replace the bulb only..

I ended up using MTEC HID look a like H8 lamps. 35W halogen with a blue filter. Not perfect but at under £20 a pair they'll do. Not LCI bright, but nothing at a reasonable price is
These in bright sunlight......

Having looked again today at the LEDs I put in, I decided that as a DRL they were pretty poor, so I've ordered some Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited to try.
They will be here tomorrow, so pics later tomorrow.
