Why is it when clicking on links on posts that frequently one is directed to '' vigilink'' or some other selling site which has absolutely nothing to do with the post.

Not for me either on iPad or Windows based laptop. I tend to use Chrome, what are you using Lez?

That is our affiliate software. The idea is you do go to the expected url but the click is logged with viglink and we get a small (couple of pence) commission. This is nothing new and it's been like that since day 1. Are you saying you are taken to the viglink site itself?

I kept on getting a Vigilink page with different places to buy from eBay/amazon etc so I Opted out.
This happened to me on pages which had a link to an item that was for sale on eBay/amazon etc.

This has only been happening to me for the last few weeks.

I thought it was a virus.

This is using a Macbook Pro with Safari (Sierra installed)

It takes you to the Vigilink site, but there is a link on that page to proceed to the original destination site.

That is not at all how it is supposed to work, the process is supposed to be transparent. I am a bit busy today but I shall remove Viglink from the site this evening.

OK, Viglink is no more... sorry guys, had no idea they decided to hijack links in that way... it was harmless in its previous form, just gave us some extra pennies, but I am not going to have redirects going on!
