Wanted- Pair of 315/35/R20 W rated tyres for X5 E70

Post by Broggy » Fri Mar 10, 2017 6:22 pm

I am looking for some good used  rear tyres 315/35/R20 for my 2008 X5 E70 Sd. I would also consider new if it is an exceptional deal. Have Bridgestone Duelers fitted at present would look at other decent brands. Have nearly new Bridgestone fronts, so I suppose rears would ideally be same brand.

I have found a deep cut in one of the tyres and it is due an MOT soon, so cash is waiting!

Must be willing to post or be within 60 mile radius of Harrogate!

Beware of using non '*' marked tyres, especially when worn.  Wrong tyres on these cars will destroy the transmission (diffs or transfer boxes) so use some caution.  We are now starting to see increased failures being reported and tyres are often the final trigger.  These cars don't like the wrong rubber.  It doesn't affect everyone but the cost of a shattered diff is more than a full set of the right rubber  :(

'*' Mark means matched circumference front/rear on staggered sets which you have.  Audi & Merc are doing the same now.

Thanks for the heads up. I have sourced some oem spec Bridgestone Duelers, although long term, I may go for some non run-flats, but will ensure they are  the correct spec when I do replace them.
