Ordered a new X5

Post by kenniff » Fri Feb 24, 2017 9:10 pm

So, I've signed up for another few years on this forum as Ive just ordered a new F15.

I went for the m50d in carbon black with Msport plus pack, pano sunroof, heated rear seats, driver assist plus, parking assist, surround view and electric tow bar.

Delivery may be mid April if they can up spec an existing order slot.

I looked long and hard at the RRS but in the end opted for the X. Just want it here now. Pics will be posted when i get it!

It'll be allright in the end. If it isn't allright it isn't the end

I'm hoping the m50d is a big step up from the 30d - cos I already have an f15 30d :)

Even in the 30d my 9 year old daughter screams for me to slow down whenever i press the accelerator  :o :(

Congrats on your purchase and a good move to the more powerful M50d.

From the posts I've read about the carI think you will enjoy it, but I think the only the downside is you will have slow down in stereo from you daughter and wife when you press the accelerator now  :))

For a mid April delivery, I'd think spec lock down would have already happened - very likely to be close to build date now!

My X5 was built on Feb 3rd, and it only changed to Port of Exit status last week on Mar 1st, which means its finally got across the Atlantic and been processed at Bremerhaven......currently scheduled to be at dealers around March 15th.
So, that's a 6 week or so time frame from build to delivery, and spec lock down was about 3 weeks prior to build date.
