X5 E53 3.0D 2006 Headlight Replacement

Hi,

I have recently purchased an E53 2006 X5 3.0D which had a cracked drivers side headlight.  I have purchased a used replacement online but it has a white light and my original lights are yellow.  I prefer the white light to be honest and am therefore tempted to buy a replacement for the passenger side headlight.  Does anyone have any idea when the lights changed from yellow to white and what I need to look for to find the right one to match the new one I have already bought?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you.

If it's the angel eye rings that are white, someone has fitted an LED front marker bulb, the yellow rings are due to the standard halogen side marker bulbs.
If it's the dipped beam that's white, you've either fitted a Xenon headlight, or it's  got a HIDS kit fitted ! But this usually hads the ballast box and wiring outside of the headlight itself
Or it may have A Nightbreaker bulb fitted, these are a whiter light halogen.
Angel eyes, or dipped beam ?????

Thank you.  So it could just be that they are the same light but someone has fitted a different bulb to the one that I have bought.  Is that right?  If so, I will check it out in the day light tomorrow.

As matter of interest. What did the replacement unit cost?
