My son has one in his X5, he's happy with it, radio reception is poor but we think that is more down to the X5 than the set. he's waiting on a new aerial lead. Had it a year without problems. I have one of their units in my VW R32 for over 3 years without problem, very good TV reception. (static)not at over 100mph as they advertise. Both ours are pre them putting their logo on the front. I have Dynavin in my X5.

I have them in both my 320d and the x5.
They work well but i do find the radio reception poor at times but have been thinking of fitting an inline booster just not got around to doing it yet.

I like the look of these, a bit more up to date. Can anyone throw any light on how complicated they are to fit, as in running cable looms and which, if any of the modules in the boot are used.
Thanks.

I see on your write up that you have full screen satnav so you will have to buy and run a cable front to rear. If you are going to fit reverse cam you should lay that lead as well. You will loose your OBC functions. This includes the ability to reset clock/mpg etc etc. The only way you can overcome this loss is to keep your present head unit and plug it in to be able to reset things.

Thanks for that. I've got a DVD player in the boot and rear screens fitted by previous owner, the wiring needs some tidying. (It's a bit DIY to say the least!). I've used the Av In and Out to enable TV & DVD on front & rear screens. A new head unit looks like a good option to get it all integrated better. Currently using an Intravee for iPod integration and some other features it provides. Also, the TV module is getting a bit temperamental as is the Sat Nav, glad I've got a Tom Tom. Sorry, I think I'm guilty of hijacking the topic, I get a bit carried away sometimes!!
