Damn !!.... Just bought a new battery to see me through the winter as the X5 was starting to get slower on cranking in the frosty mornings. Fitted it this morning and fired up no problem,...then came later in the day and its getting slower again ...
This is exactly the problem I wrote about 4 years ago on this site with my older X5 ( battery drain)
Looks like I have to source another starter motor again,....but am I right in saying that this model I have now the starter is on the other side of the engine and easier to reach ???
I'm just wondering if I have disturbed something when I was replacing the glowplug relay box which is close to the starter wires ? as it was cranking fine beforehand...
Have a look in the morning ...
